Part 1

Jesus loved teaching people about God. One day, a huge crowd gathered to listen to Him. There were so many people, it looked like a great sea of faces!

So everyone could see and hear well, Jesus went up a mountain. He sat down, and His friends, the disciples, came very close to learn everything He had to say.

Part 2

Jesus began to talk about true happiness. He said that happy are the people who love God more than anything. Happy are those who have pure hearts and those who help bring peace among people.

He taught that happiness isn't about being rich or famous, but about having a good heart that trusts God. The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them.

Blessed are those whose hearts are pure. They will see God. — Matthew 5:8

Part 3

Jesus looked at His friends and said something very special. He explained that they should be like salt, which gives good flavor to food. In the same way, they should bring the flavor of God's love to the whole world.

He also compared them to a very bright light. A light should not be hidden, but should shine so everyone can see the way.

Jesus: You are the light of the world. Let your light shine in front of others. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will praise your Father who is in heaven.

Part 4

Jesus saw that people worried a lot about what to eat or wear. So, He asked them to look at the birds in the sky. They don't plant or store food in barns, but their heavenly Father feeds them.

Then, He talked about the flowers of the field, which are so beautiful and well-dressed. If God takes such loving care of the birds and flowers, He will take even greater care of each one of us, who are His children.

Part 5

To finish His great teaching, Jesus told a story. There was a wise man who built his house on a very firm rock. When the rain and strong wind came, the house did not fall.

But a foolish man built his house on soft sand. The same storm came, and the house collapsed with a loud crash! Jesus explained that whoever hears and obeys His words is building their life on the rock, a safe place forever.
