The Manger
"And laid Him in a manger."Luke 2:7
Reflection
A manger is where the animals eat. God chose the simplest possible place to begin. Nobody was left out.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for coming in such a simple way. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- What is a manger?
- Why did God choose such a simple place?
- What does that tell us about who can come close to Jesus?
5-minute activity
Make a manger from a shoebox and shredded paper for straw. Place a doll wrapped in a cloth inside. Talk about God coming to the simplest place. Read Luke 2:7.
