The Angel Visits Mary
"Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.""Luke 1:30
Reflection
Mary was an ordinary girl from a small town. God chooses simple people to do enormous things.
Prayer
Father, use me even though I am small. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- How do you think Mary felt when she saw the angel?
- Why did God choose an ordinary girl?
- What did the angel say to Mary first?
5-minute activity
Cut out a paper angel and write "Do not be afraid" on its wings. Hang it where the family gathers. Talk about the fears God calms. Read Luke 1:26-33.
