I Am the Resurrection
"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life.""John 11:25
Reflection
Jesus did not say He would bring the resurrection. He said He IS the resurrection. It is not something He does, it is who He is.
Prayer
Jesus, You are my life today and always. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- What is the difference between bringing the resurrection and being the resurrection?
- What did Jesus do for Lazarus?
- Why can Martha's sadness turn to hope?
5-minute activity
Act out the story of Lazarus with blankets: one person is wrapped up and "comes out" when Jesus calls. Then read the words Jesus said to Martha. Read John 11:17-27 and 38-44.
