He Went Up to Heaven
"Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up."Acts 1:9
Reflection
His friends stood looking up, not quite understanding. Jesus returned to the Father, but He left nobody alone here.
Prayer
Jesus, even out of sight, You are near. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- How do you think the disciples felt watching Jesus go up?
- Where did Jesus go?
- Did He leave His friends alone?
5-minute activity
Let a balloon float up to the ceiling, or toss a paper airplane high. Talk about the disciples looking up and what Jesus had promised them before He left. Read Acts 1:6-11.
