Courage

Courage to Keep Asking

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened."
Matthew 7:7

Reflection

Ask, seek and knock are three verbs of someone who does not give up easily. God likes persistent people.

Prayer

Father, teach me not to give up praying. Amen!

Talk about it as a family

  1. What are the three verbs in this verse?
  2. Why does God like persistent people?
  3. What would you like to keep asking God for?

5-minute activity

Knock on a closed door three times, and each time say "ask," "seek" or "knock." On the third, the grown-up opens. Write one prayer request to keep praying all week. Read Matthew 7:7-11.
