A Living Hope
"He has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."1 Peter 1:3
Reflection
There is hope that is only wishing things work out. And there is living hope, with a firm basis. Ours has an address: the empty tomb.
Prayer
Lord, fill my heart with living hope. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- What is the difference between wishing and having hope?
- What is our hope built on?
- How does the empty tomb give you hope?
5-minute activity
Plant a seed in a small pot and label it "living hope." Each day, water it and remember that our hope is firm, just like the empty tomb. Read 1 Peter 1:3-4.
