A Burning Heart
"Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road?"Luke 24:32
Reflection
Two friends walked along sad and Jesus walked with them unrecognized. Only later did they understand. Often He is right beside us and we do not notice.
Prayer
Lord, open my eyes to see You on the road. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- Why were the two friends sad on the road?
- Why didn't they notice Jesus walking with them?
- When might Jesus be near you without you noticing?
5-minute activity
Take a short walk together and talk about your week, just like the friends on the road. When you get back, share a moment when God was near even if you didn't notice. Read Luke 24:13-35.
