The full story: The Third Journey

Part 1

The apostle Paul just couldn't sit still! He loved Jesus so much that he wanted everyone in the whole world to know about Him. So, he started his third big journey to visit the churches and encourage his friends in faith.

He traveled through many cities, like Galatia and Phrygia. In each place, he taught people to love God and one another. His words were like a warm hug, making everyone stronger and braver.

Part 2

Paul arrived in a big, busy city called Ephesus. There, he taught everyone about the power in Jesus' name. God did amazing miracles through Paul. Even handkerchiefs he touched could heal the sick!

Many people who used to practice magic saw God's power and decided to follow Jesus. They burned their sorcery books, showing everyone that they wanted a new and true life with the Lord.

So the word of the Lord grew and became mighty. — Acts 19:20

Part 3

But not everyone was happy. Some men who made silver statues of a goddess named Artemis got very angry. People were stopping buying their statues to follow Jesus, and they were losing money.

They caused a big commotion in the city, and an angry crowd gathered. It was a scary moment, but Paul's friends protected him. God took care of him and his companions in the midst of the danger.

Part 4

Later, in a city called Troas, Paul met with friends to teach. He was so excited that he spoke for many, many hours, late into the night. The rooms were full of lamps to light the place.

A young man named Eutychus was sitting in a third-story window. He was so sleepy that he ended up falling out! Everyone thought the worst, but Paul went down, hugged him, and by a miracle from God, the young man was alive and well!

Paul: Don't worry, he's alive!

Part 5

Paul knew his journey would take him to Jerusalem, where he might face dangers. Before leaving Miletus, he called the church leaders from Ephesus to say goodbye. It was a very emotional moment, full of tears.

He hugged them and asked them to take good care of God's people, just like a shepherd takes care of his sheep. Everyone knelt and prayed together. They were sad to say goodbye, but they trusted that God would be with Paul and with them, always.
