The full story: Jonah and the Big Fish

Part 1

Once upon a time, there was a man named Jonah. Jonah loved God, but sometimes he didn't want to do everything God asked.

One day, God said, "Jonah, go to the city of Nineveh and tell the people to stop doing bad things."

But Jonah was scared and tried to run far, far away on a ship!

"The word of the Lord came to Jonah: 'Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh.'" — Jonah 1:1-2

Part 2

In the middle of the sea, a giant storm started! Jonah knew it was his fault for running away from God. He asked the sailors to throw him into the sea.

But God had a plan! A very, very big fish swallowed Jonah whole to save him.

Inside the fish's belly, Jonah prayed and asked God for forgiveness.

"The Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah." — Jonah 1:17

Part 3

Three days later, the fish took Jonah to the beach, and he came out perfectly fine!

This time, Jonah obeyed God and went to Nineveh to teach about the Lord's love.

Jonah learned that it's much better to obey with joy than to try and hide from God!

"Then the Lord spoke to the fish. And it spit Jonah out onto dry land." — Jonah 2:10
