The full story: The Walls of Jericho

Part 1

Joshua was Israel's new leader, after Moses. God called him for a special mission: to conquer the city of Jericho!

But Jericho had very tall and thick walls—it seemed impossible to get inside. How could an army ever knock down those giant walls?

Be strong and brave! Don't be afraid. The Lord your God will go with you. — Deuteronomy 31:6

Part 2

God had a plan that was different from any battle strategy!

He told Joshua: For six days, march silently around the city with priests blowing trumpets. On the seventh day, walk around seven times. Then everyone shout with all your might!

It was a strange plan, but Joshua trusted God and obeyed.

God to Joshua: I have already given Jericho and its king into your hand. — Joshua 6:2

Part 3

On the seventh day, after seven times around, the priests blew their trumpets and the people shouted with all their might!

BOOM! The walls of Jericho came crashing down! Israel entered the city and conquered Jericho—no ladders, no catapults, just with faith and obedience!

This teaches us that with God, the impossible becomes possible when we trust and obey Him!

The people shouted. And the walls fell down. — Joshua 6:20
