Peter Walked on Water
"And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus."Matthew 14:29
Reflection
Peter did sink. But he was the only one who got out of the boat. Failing while trying beats sitting and watching.
Prayer
Jesus, give me courage to step out of the boat. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- Who was the only one to get out of the boat?
- Why did Peter start to sink?
- What would you like to try, even if you might fail?
5-minute activity
Lay a path of paper "waves" across the floor. The child walks on them toward a grown-up with eyes fixed on them. Talk about Peter keeping his eyes on Jesus. Read Matthew 14:22-33.
