It Is Finished
"When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!""John 19:30
Reflection
Finished means completed, done, paid. Jesus left nothing missing. There is nothing to add to what He already did.
Prayer
Lord, I rest in what You already finished for me. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- What does "it is finished" mean?
- Is there anything we need to add to what Jesus did?
- How does it feel to know the price is paid?
5-minute activity
Write a pretend bill on paper with "sin" as the amount due. Then stamp or write "PAID IN FULL" across it in big letters. Talk about what Jesus finished. Read John 19:28-30.
