The full story: Peter Heals the Lame Man

Part 1

One day, Peter and John were going to the Temple. It was time for prayer, and many people were walking there.

At the Temple gate, called Beautiful, there was a man. He had not been able to walk since he was born, and every day he begged for money from those who passed by.

Part 2

The man saw Peter and John coming and asked for a coin. He hoped to receive some help, just as he always did. He held out his hand.

Peter and John stopped and looked directly at him. The man paid close attention, thinking he would get something.

Peter: Look at us!

Part 3

Peter said something the man didn't expect. He didn't have money to give, no silver or gold coins. But he had a much more valuable gift.

With great faith, Peter offered what was most precious to him. It was the power that came from Jesus.

I don't have any silver or gold. But I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk. — Acts 3:6

Part 4

Peter took the man by his right hand and helped him up. At that very moment, something incredible happened! The man's feet and ankles became strong.

He jumped up and stood on his feet! For the first time in his life, he could walk. He was so happy that he couldn't stop moving.

Part 5

The man went into the Temple with Peter and John. He walked, jumped, and thanked God out loud! Everyone who saw him was amazed.

People couldn't believe that this was the same man who used to beg at the gate. They saw the great miracle that Jesus did through Peter and John, and they were filled with wonder.
