The full story: Joseph's Dreams

Part 1

There was a man named Jacob, who had twelve sons. One of them was called Joseph, and his father loved him very, very much.

Jacob gave Joseph a special gift: a beautiful, colorful coat! But when his brothers saw it, their hearts filled with a lot of jealousy.

Part 2

One night, God gave Joseph a special dream. The next day, he ran to tell his brothers.

In the dream, they were all in the field, tying up bundles of wheat. Suddenly, Joseph's bundle stood up, and his brothers' bundles bowed down to it.

Joseph: My bundle stood up, and your bundles bowed down to mine!

Part 3

Joseph's brothers got even angrier. They didn't like that dream at all. Then, Joseph had another dream and told it to them and his father.

He dreamed that the sun, the moon, and eleven stars bowed down to him. It was an even bigger and more mysterious dream!

Part 4

His brothers became even more jealous. Their envy grew so much that it turned into a very wicked plan.

One day, Jacob asked Joseph to go visit his brothers, who were far away taking care of the sheep. When they saw Joseph coming from a distance with his colorful coat, they planned to get rid of him.

"They hated him even more because of his dreams..." — Genesis 37:8

Part 5

Joseph's brothers took his colorful coat and threw him into a deep, empty well. Joseph must have been very scared and felt all alone.

But even in that dark place, God was with Joseph. This was just the beginning of the great adventure God had for him, and He would use all of it for good.
