Part 1

This is the story of a man named Daniel. Daniel loved God very much and talked with Him every day. He lived in a faraway country called Persia.

The king really liked Daniel because he was honest and hardworking. But other people were jealous and made a bad law!

“When Daniel learned that the new law had been signed… three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed.” — Daniel 6:10

Part 2

They said no one could pray to God, only to the king! But Daniel kept praying. So, they took Daniel and threw him into a pit full of hungry lions.

The king was sad, but Daniel was calm. He knew God would take care of him.

The king to Daniel: May your God, whom you always serve, rescue you!

Part 3

That night, something miraculous happened! God sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions. They became as gentle as kittens!

In the morning, the king rushed to the pit and saw that Daniel was okay. What joy! God protected His faithful friend.

“My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions.” — Daniel 6:22
