In the beginning there was nothing, only God. In six days, God made light, the sky and the waters, dry land with plants, the sun, the moon and the stars, the fish and the birds, the animals and, last of all, human beings, made in his image. On the seventh day God rested and saw that everything was very good.

Part 1

In the beginning, there was nothing — no light, no land, no sea. Only God.

Then God spoke: "Let there be light!" And light appeared, beautiful and bright! On the second day, He separated the sky from the waters. On the third, He made dry land appear with plants and trees full of fruit.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." — Genesis 1:1

Part 2

On the fourth day, God made the sun to light up the day and the moon to watch over the night. On the fifth, He filled the sea with fish and the sky with colorful birds.

On the sixth day, it was time for the animals! Lions, giraffes, butterflies... and last of all, God made the most special being: humans, made in His own image!

God: Let us make human beings in our image, in our likeness." — Genesis 1:26

Part 3

On the seventh day, God rested and blessed that special day. He looked at everything He had made and said it was very good!

God created this beautiful world for us to take care of and enjoy. Every little flower, every little star, and every little animal is a gift from Him to us!

"God saw everything he had made. And it was very good." — Genesis 1:31
