The boy Samuel lived at the temple and helped Eli the priest. One night he heard someone call his name and ran to Eli three times. Eli realized it was God and taught Samuel to answer: "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening". God spoke to Samuel, and he grew up to be a great prophet.
