Summary for the teacher
Jairus, a synagogue leader, asked Jesus to come and heal his twelve-year-old daughter, who was dying. On the way, news came that the girl had died, but Jesus told Jairus: "Don't be afraid, only believe". At the house, everyone was crying. Jesus went into the room with the parents and three disciples, took the girl's hand, and said: "Talitha cumi", which means "Girl, get up". She got up and began to walk, and Jesus told them to give her something to eat.
