Summary for the teacher
Peter wrote to Christians scattered in many places to encourage them. He reminded them that they were chosen by God and are like living stones in a spiritual house. He asked them to live with kindness, loving one another from the heart, even when someone treated them badly, and to have hope, because God keeps an inheritance for them in heaven.
