Summary for the teacher
Bartimaeus, a blind man who begged by the roadside near Jericho, heard that Jesus was passing by and shouted for mercy. Many told him to be quiet, but he shouted even louder. Jesus stopped, had him called, and asked what he wanted. Bartimaeus asked to see. Jesus said his faith had made him well; at once Bartimaeus could see, and he followed Jesus on the way.
