When Everything Goes Wrong
"Though the fig tree may not blossom, yet I will rejoice in the Lord."Habakkuk 3:17-18
Reflection
The prophet listed everything going wrong and finished saying he would rejoice anyway. That joy does not depend on results.
Prayer
God, I want to rejoice in You even on bad days. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- What did the prophet list as going wrong?
- What did he decide to do anyway?
- How can we have joy that doesn't depend on results?
5-minute activity
Write your own version of the verse: "Even if ___ goes wrong, I will rejoice in the Lord." Each person fills in the blank and reads it aloud. Read Habakkuk 3:17-19.
