Solomon Chose Well
"You have asked wisdom and knowledge, and not riches."2 Chronicles 1:11
Reflection
Solomon could ask for anything and asked to understand. God liked it so much He gave that and much more besides.
Prayer
Father, help me ask for the right things. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- What did Solomon ask God for?
- Why did God like his request so much?
- If you could ask God for one thing, what would it be?
5-minute activity
Place three face-down cards on the table: "riches," "fame" and "wisdom." The child picks one and explains why. Then tell what Solomon chose. Read 2 Chronicles 1:7-12.
