Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me."John 14:1
Reflection
Jesus said this when His friends were terrified. He did not deny the problem: He pointed to where to look in the middle of it.
Prayer
Jesus, calm my heart when everything shakes. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- When did Jesus say these words?
- Did Jesus pretend there was no problem?
- Where should we look when we're afraid?
5-minute activity
Make a pair of paper binoculars from two toilet paper rolls. Write "Jesus" on one side. When something feels scary, look through them as a reminder of where to look. Read John 14:1-3.
