Deep Roots
"Rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith."Colossians 2:7
Reflection
A plant with short roots falls in the first wind. Someone who really knows God grows deep roots and stands firm when life blows hard.
Prayer
Father, give me deep roots in You. Amen!
Talk about it as a family
- Why does a plant with short roots fall easily?
- What helps our faith grow deep roots?
- What kind of "wind" in life can shake us?
5-minute activity
Pull up a weed or look at the roots of a plant from the market. Compare a plant with long roots and one with short roots. Talk about what makes faith firm. Read Colossians 2:6-7.
