The prophets are where Sunday school usually stalls: similar names, a confusing chronology and books the child has never opened. Seeing the twelve names together in a grid gives them a visual identity before any chronology is demanded.
It is the sheet best suited to preteens. A natural extension: after finding each name, look up in the Bible’s contents page which page that book starts on. That is real Bible literacy.
Because he is both. The repetition between sheets is deliberate: meeting a name again in another context reinforces memory.
For under-nines it usually is. At that age the animals or Creation sheet gives far more.
