Noah is probably the Bible story most often told to small children, and that familiarity is the advantage: your child already knows the plot, so every word found confirms something they know rather than introducing something new.
The word that usually produces the best conversation is "covenant". It is abstract among concrete words, and explaining that the rainbow was a sign of a promise gives meaning to the ending of the story, which often gets stuck on the animals.
