Summary for the teacher
Joseph was Jacob’s favorite son and was given a colorful robe. Out of jealousy, his brothers threw him into a pit and then sold him to traders headed for Egypt. There, God was with Joseph every step of the way, until he became governor and saved many lives from famine, including his own family’s.
