Summary for the teacher
The prophet Elijah challenged the prophets who did not follow God: the God who answered with fire would be the true God. The prophets of Baal cried out for nothing. Elijah prayed with faith, and fire fell from heaven, burning up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and even the water. Everyone recognized that the Lord is the true God.
